Meditation helps guide your attention towards increased awareness and compassion, while reducing stress and anxiety and improving focus. There’s strong evidence that both running and meditation can make a positive difference to our lives. But when we bring them together, something deeper becomes possible.

What THIS SERIES IS ABOUT
The Mindful Runner is a 4 session 1:1 programme that teaches you the foundations of mindfulness meditation, designed specifically for runners.
Together, we explore how to tune inward, notice your breath and body, and relate differently to your thoughts so running becomes a space of presence, clarity and personal growth, rather than pressure or autopilot.
This is not about changing your running. It’s about changing how you experience it.

Each session includes:
guided mindfulness meditations
reflective dialogue and inquiry
simple journaling or reflection prompts
individually tailored instruction
suggested home practice to help you build confidence and continuity
No prior meditation experience is needed. We start exactly where you are.

The power of the pause
Learning to step out of autopilot and create space for awareness
Breath awareness
Using the breath as an anchor for focus, regulation and presence on and off the run.
Body awareness
Developing embodied awareness through body scan and sensation, supporting connection and ease.
Working with inner talk
Noticing the inner critic with compassion, and learning how to relate to thoughts without being driven by them.
